Jellyfish

ACRYLIC ON CANVAS

This artwork is acrylic on a stretched canvas and it’s about a wonderful creature that lives at the bottom of the ocean. I was always found them mesmerising and watching them swim makes me calm. Because of this I chose blues and black.

The wave

ACRYLIC ON vinyl

My inspiration for this artwork came from a holiday by the sea. I loved how calming the waves were and wished to bring a little bit of that tranquil seaside vibe back home with me, so I put brush to canvas – well, to a vinyl, actually! It’s a lovely reminder of those peaceful days by the sea.

Helios

ACRYLIC ON CANVAS

I was always amazed by the vibrant sunsets, sunrises and the first time I have seen a picture of the sun from outer space I new I have to paint it.The canvas vibrates with the power of the sun. On one side, its fiery core explodes outward, a swirling mass of plasma and energy captured in vibrant hues of yellow, orange, and red. The celestial spectacle evokes a sense of awe and wonder, reminding us of the immense power that fuels our solar system. Yet, the other half of the painting draws the viewer back to earth, offering a gentler perspective. A terrestrial sunset unfolds, its golden light painting the sky in soft, pastel tones.

Cnidaria part one

ACRYLIC ON CANVAS

This ethereal jellyfish painting is the first of a three-part custom commission, created for a former scuba diving instructor. It serves as a captivating reminder of a past life, now cherished in memory. The tranquil dance of the jellyfish, rendered with delicate brushstrokes and luminous colors, evokes the serene beauty of the underwater world and the profound connection one can have with its depths. This piece aims to transport the viewer back to those calm, weightless moments beneath the waves.

Cnidaria part two

ACRYLIC ON CANVAS

This is the center piece of the three-part custom commission, previously mentioned.

Cnidaria part three

ACRYLIC ON CANVAS

This is the last piece of the three-part custom commission.

La Bella Muerte

ACRYLIC ON CANVAS

My inspiration for this came from the Spanish Day of the Dead, a powerful celebration of life and its inevitable cycle. While a stark white skull is central, it’s far from gloomy; instead, it’s embraced by a flourishing of vibrant life. Rich red roses and twisting green vines weave across it, a powerful symbol of nature’s relentless ability to reclaim. The background, bursting with lively hues of green, blue, and earthy reds, suggests a wild, untamed landscape where life truly thrives. It’s a wonderful reminder that, in the end, life always finds a way to blossom anew.

Sunset on Callisto

ACRYLIC ON CANVAS

I love vibrant sunsets and always wondered how they’d look on other planets. This is my vision of a sunset on Callisto.

Terra

ACRYLIC ON CANVAS

I can paint images of our lovely planet forever. I am simply mesmerised by it.

After the storm

Oil ON CANVAS

Inspired by a breathtaking seaside experience, this painting captures a vibrant spectacle of nature. A ship glides through waves alive with color, under a sky ablaze in brilliant red, as birds soar freely above. It’s a vivid memory of the sea’s profound beauty brought to life on canvas.

The Tempest

ACRYLIC ON CANVAS

This painting plunges viewers into the raw, majestic power of the sea on a cloudy day. Rendered entirely in a profound palette of blue tones, it vividly captures the ocean’s vastness and ever-changing, often formidable, mood.

Patience

ACRYLIC ON CANVAS

A captivating study in blues and shadows, this painting depicts a moment of quiet contemplation in a secluded natural setting. A lone bird stands on the water’s edge, its still form reflected perfectly in the placid, luminous water, surrounded by the deep, embracing darkness of the landscape. The scene invites viewers to ponder themes of stillness, observation, and the passage of time.

Navagio

Acrylic ON CANVAS

Inspired by the unforgettable beauty of coastal retreats, this custom artwork for my family transports you to a magnificent, hidden bay. The brilliant contrast of the towering white cliffs against the vivid blue of the sea and sky creates a captivating scene, complete with a secluded beach and distant sails. It’s a visual celebration of tranquility and cherished moments by the sea.

Mother Nature

ACRYLIC ON CANVAS

This evocative painting captures the spirit of our planet as a resilient woman, her features forming the gentle curves and rugged edges of an island adrift in tranquil waters. Inspired by the remarkable forgiveness of Earth, the piece reflects on how she endures the relentless onslaught of pollution and human folly. The woman’s expression is pensive, as if she’s quietly contemplating the scars left behind, yet there’s a softness to her gaze—a silent promise of renewal and hope.

Resurrection

ACRYLIC ON CANVAS

I was inspired by the cyclical nature of life, the way nothing is lost, always coming back in a new form. In this painting, a contemporary mansion is taken bit by bit by a black hole in the medieval times, restored as a citadel. One half is black and white to show the ending and the other half is in full color because the old bricks have a new life once more.

Morning in the mountains

Acrylic ON CANVAS

A delightful and whimsical winter scene, this painting captures a moment of playful surprise. A majestic stag, with snow-dusted antlers, peeks through a window, offering a charmingly cheeky greeting with its tongue out. Set against a backdrop of snowy mountains and pine trees under a clear blue sky, it’s a unique and cheerful piece, created as a special gift for a dear friend.
